Three of our Year 12 maths mentors joined MathsMakers Executive Director Helena Mullins at a full meeting of Barnet Council on Tuesday 20 October.
Before the meeting, the group had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Zahra Beg, before taking their seats in the council chamber to observe the meeting.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our mentors to experience local democracy first-hand and see how councillors discuss local issues and make decisions.
We're grateful to the Mayor and Barnet Council for welcoming us and giving our young people the opportunity to attend.
We look forward to sharing more about our mentors' experiences soon!
