NTP Tuition Partner

In 2024, MathsMakers was approved as one of the Department for Education tuition partners for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). MathsMakers passed all areas of the rigorous entry
requirements and ‘exceeded expectations’ for criteria relating to Quality of provision, Quality of
tutoring, Quality of support (for tutors), and Partnerships/collaborations with schools.

Post NTP, we are continuing to develop and expand our online programmes. We charge a subsidised rate to schools that can be covered using their Pupil Premium funding.

NRCSE & YPF

In March 2019, MathsMakers was awarded a Foundation Quality Mark by the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Schools (NRCSE), an accreditation now managed by the Young People’s Foundation Trust (YPF). In June 2025, we achieved the YPF Trust Advanced Quality Mark.

The YPF Trust praised MathsMakers, stating: “Your dedication, passion, and commitment to high-quality supplementary education are truly inspiring. We’re proud to celebrate your achievements and the difference you make within your communities.” Our Executive Director responded: “We’re incredibly grateful to the YPF Trust team. The Quality Mark process was a very positive experience for us — their training on Creative Teaching and Learning was both useful and thought-provoking and has enabled us to introduce new, engaging elements into our maths programmes. It has also strengthened our focus on upholding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and deepened our commitment to stakeholder feedback, ensuring we maintain a positive, active, and happy learning environment for all our students."

OTHER

MathsMakers is also a member of the Young Harrow, Young Brent and Young Barnet Foundations and receives long-term support from key funders including John Lyon’s Charity, Securing Success, Tesco Bags of Help, and the London Freemasons’ Charity, demonstrating our strong fundraising experience and partnership work across the sector.

For online intervention, MathsMakers has been working with schools as part of the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). MathsMakers is an approved NTP tuition partner. Post NTP, we are continuing to develop and expand our online programmes. We charge a subsidised rate to schools that can be covered using their Pupil Premium funding.

MathsMakers also delivers in-person intervention in partnership with schools and other education charities, thanks to endorsement and support from John Lyon’s Charity and other funders. Each year we have a limited number of these programmes available at heavily subsidised rates. Please contact us for more information.

MathsMakers recognises the significant value of working in partnership with schools. More information about how mainstream schools, supplementary schools and other education organisations work together is provided by Securing Success in a short video here. Securing Success has provided several years of guidance and support for MathsMakers and we are glad to share their vision of partnership work with schools.

MathsMakers partners with schools to reduce the attainment gap and make maths accessible for all.
