Building Maths Skills, Confidence and a Love of Learning
We've already received some lovely feedback from parents at the start of this term, and it's wonderful to hear how much children are enjoying their MathsMakers sessions.
Our programmes aim to help young people develop their maths skills, build confidence and feel more positive about learning. Feedback from parents is a valuable reminder of why this work matters.
Making progress in maths
One parent told us:
“[My son] enjoys Mr McCracken's lessons and has improved in his maths with these sessions.”
It's great to hear that children are enjoying their sessions while making progress with their maths.
Building confidence through encouragement
We were also delighted to hear from a parent whose child had been recognised for working hard and engaging well during a session. They shared how much this positive experience had meant to their child.
Recognition, encouragement and a supportive learning environment can all help young people feel more confident in their abilities and more willing to engage with maths.
Making maths enjoyable
Another parent shared how much their children were enjoying their tuition, describing how they “come home every week buzzing with excitement” about the teaching methods and how well the approach works for them.
We want young people to feel that maths is something they can enjoy and succeed in, whatever their starting point.
Thank you for your support
We're grateful to the parents who have taken the time to share their experiences, and to our instructors and volunteers who make our programmes possible.
At MathsMakers, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to develop their maths skills and confidence, regardless of their circumstances.
