Our new brochure for schools is now available.
Too many disadvantaged students face barriers in maths — losing confidence and missing out on future opportunities. Nationally, over 50% of disadvantaged pupils fail to reach a Grade 4 in both English and Maths GCSEs. The impact of Covid and ongoing inequalities have only made this challenge greater.
What MathsMakers Does:MathsMakers is a charity that works alongside schools and community groups to provide small-group, tailored maths tuition. Our experienced tutors focus on closing learning gaps, improving core number skills, and boosting students’ self-belief — so they can catch up, keep up, and believe in themselves.
Why Our Approach Works:
✅ Small-group support: Personalised sessions at school or online, helping students make real progress.
✅ Skilled, caring tutors: Qualified teachers and mentors who make maths enjoyable and accessible.
✅ Affordable & accessible: Subsidised rates mean every school can offer this vital support.
The Impact So Far:We already partner with schools across Barnet, Brent, Harrow and Westminster — and 94% of students tell us they’ve progressed with MathsMakers. Teachers, too, appreciate the boost in confidence and attainment they see.
Get Involved:If you’re a school looking to support students in maths — or a Year 12 student keen to become a maths mentor — we’d love to hear from you. Together we can help every child reach their potential.
