As schools prepare for the new academic year, now is the perfect time to identify students who would benefit from additional maths support.
MathsMakers delivers small-group maths intervention programmes that help students build confidence, strengthen mathematical understanding and make sustained progress. Our experienced instructors provide personalised teaching tailored to each group's needs, creating supportive learning environments where every student can succeed.
We work with young people who need extra help with maths and have a particular focus on supporting those experiencing disadvantage. This includes students eligible for Pupil Premium, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Young Carers, students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and others who face barriers to learning or lack confidence in maths.

Flexible Programmes to Meet Your Needs
We understand that every school and community organisation is different, so our programmes can be tailored to suit local needs and timetables.
In-person programmes are available to schools and community organisations across London. We currently partner with schools and organisations in Harrow, Barnet and Brent, with capacity to expand our reach further.
Online programmes can be delivered to schools anywhere in England, making high-quality maths support accessible regardless of location. This year, for example, we were delighted to deliver an online programme for students on the Isles of Scilly, demonstrating that geography need not be a barrier to personalised maths support.
Programmes can take place:
during the school day
after school
in the evenings or at weekends (online).
We offer support for:
Year 5 and Year 6 pupils
Key Stage 3 students
GCSE Foundation
GCSE Higher
bespoke maths intervention programmes designed around your school's needs.

Why Choose MathsMakers?
Our programmes are delivered by experienced maths teachers and tutors who understand the barriers many young people face when learning maths.
Small-group teaching allows students to ask questions, tackle misconceptions and build confidence in a supportive environment. Many of our in-person programmes are further enhanced by trained sixth form volunteer mentors, giving younger students additional encouragement while providing older students with meaningful leadership and work experience opportunities.
Our impact includes:
Over 12 years supporting children and young people.
Around 400 young people supported each year.
95% of students report making progress in maths.
Students typically improve their assessment scores by around 20 percentage points over the course of a programme.
In 2024/25, 68% of our disadvantaged Year 11 students achieved a grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths - well above the national average.
Whether you're looking to support a small group of pupils or develop a wider intervention programme, we can work with you to create a solution that meets your school's needs.

Looking Ahead
Although the summer term is coming to an end, we're already planning our Autumn 2026 programmes. Schools that book early have the greatest flexibility when selecting programme dates and times.
We also offer bespoke intervention programmes throughout the academic year, including intensive support where capacity allows.
